Comments:
Enlisted in1952 for National Service, Anthony was accepted for the RAF.
After basic training at RAF Padgate he attended RAF Hornchurch for aircrew selection.
A few days were spent at RAF Cranwell before going to RAF Leconfield to the Central Gunnery School .
After passing out he automatically received the rank of sergeant, followed by a posting to RAF Waddington.
After a week or two he was put on the strengthof 49/102 heavy bombardment Squadron.
From then on he moved with the squadron until he was demobbed.
He moved to RAF Wittering near Stanford Linconshire, RAF Eastliegh (Kenya) then to RAF Upwood.

He really enjoyed his service and in some ways wished that he had signed on for longer!
