On the 10th March 1918 while flying in a DH4 (serialC4526) they crashed on landing due faulty judgement after strain of a long high recce flight.
Both 2Lt HL Rough and 2Lt V Deschfield were uninjured.
From the order of names we speculate that 2Lt Rough was the pilot.
