Sgt Steeper was actually an Americn subject and some records show him as USAAF. However, a number of US citizens fought as RCAF.
Flew one operation on 10th November 1943 and later posted to 57Sqn.
He was shot down during the infamous Nürnberg raid on the 30th March 1944 and made a PoW.
It is not known where he was held prisoner.
