F/O Rea was killed on 28th May 1943 flying a Mosquito with 105Sqn and is buried in the Marham Cemetery.

It would appear that following his four Hampden operations with 49Sqn, F/O Rea and his crew were posted to 408Sqn. F/O Rea completed a first tour with 408Sqn before moving to Mosquitoes with 105Sqn.
