Sgt Mock was involved in a forced landing in a DH9 (serial C1172).
He came down near Auxi-le-Château, due to bad visibility in a rainstorm during a travel flight from Rozoy to Beauvois.
The pilot, 2Lt AL Murray and Sgt Mech CG Mock were both uninjured.
