Twelve aircraft were detailed for gardening and for the first time they took-off in 'threes' at 3 minute intervals. Of these, 7 crews planted their mines with success in the Friedrichshafen area. Unfortunately the squadron suffered the loss of one aircraft, when Sgt Bob Jennings DFM and crew failed to return.
