Flew 10 Hampden operations with 49Sqn.
Waldo Harry Bentley Hiles visited No. 623 Squadron on August 24th, 1943 and decided to fly with them on a night raid to Berlin as the Pilot of Short Stirling, EH925 "IC-C".
The plane was shot down near Berlin and since then he is reported missing in action.
He is remembered at the Runnymede Memorial.
