Awarded the DFM.

Completed a tour of at least 30 operations.

After finishing his tour with 49Squadron he became an instructor at Market Harborough then went on to do 43 ops with 162 Mosquito Sqn, taking part in the last raid of the war on Kiel on the 24th April 1945.
He spent the rest of his service flying around Europe in a Mosquito delivering mail.

John Crabb was 100 years old on  the 30th November 2020.
