Flew 7 operations with 49Sqn with pilot S/L JM Bazin. His first operation was the 27th May to Morsalines and his last with the squadron was to Etampes on 9th June.
He was then posted to 102Sqn and was killed on the 25th June 1944.
Sgt Collins is buried in the Fontaine l'Étalon cemetery in the Pas de Calais region of France.
