Some of the best preserved sections of the main runway are in the area of the Lincolnshire Kart Racing Club. Our thanks goes to the various members of the club who willingly gave up their valuable time to tell me about the old airfield.
I also thank them for allowing me to wander up and down their track.
Although sometimes used for military training, it is quite possible to drive around the perimeter of the old airfield in an ordinary vehicle.
It is however, depending on the weather, a muddy drive in places.
