The threshold of Waddington's main runway (20) is just to the west of the Sleaford Road. There were ocassions when aircraft touched down just short of the unway, on the east side of the road. Some, it is alleged, regained flight and made it to the runway but...........some others didn't.

 

This aircraft didn't make it.
