Tom Gatfield
In 1959 Tom Gatfield, one of the younger members, took over the role of Association Secretary and greatly expanded our activities.
Tom continued to guide the association as Secretary for over 40 years, ably complemented by his wife Marion .
Due to a burgeoning membership, organising annual functions, producing newsletters and answering queries the role was becoming too much for Tom and in July 2005 Alan Parr agreed to take over by the end of 2006.

In March 2006 Tom was unexpectedly taken to hospital and, in RAF parlance.......Failed to Return.
Tom Gatfield is LHS with Norman Powell, John Aldridge and Lou Crabbe
