The following incident is recorded:
14th December 1918:
3AM Dorrance was aboard DH9 (serial) F967 when it crashed in bad visibility on landing Bavay aerodrome after collecting new machine from 2AD Fienvillers.
Lt BA Whitmore Ok/3AM Dorrance Ok.
Although he is recorded as "OK" he was posted out on the same day......it is thought that he was injured in the crash.
