Sgt Thomas was posted in on the 10th of June 1942 and out on the 8th of September 1942.
Records show that Sgt D Thomas (but no service number recorded) flew as a Flight Engineer on the 31st of July 1942. This was the Squadron's first full Lancaster operation.
Sgt Thomas was killed on 2nd March 1943 whilst flying with 50Sqn and is buried in the Rotterdam (Crooswijk) General Cemetery.
