Sgt Johnson was posted in on the 18th of September 1941 from 16OTU, Upper Heyford and was posted out on the 20th September, just two days later, to 44 Sqn.
49Sqn didn't fly between the 16th - 28th of September so this airmen would have been unable to fly on any operations.
Sgt Johnson was killed on 15th April 1942 whilst flying with 420 (RCAF) Sqn and is buried in the Fordham Churchyard.
