Aircraft DH 9 serial C6177 was reported missing from a photo reconnaissance operation near Bertangles on 15/5/18 - probably shot down by enemy fighters. The Pilot Cpt W.G. Chambers and Observer Lt R. C. Burky USAS were both killed.
The fact that Lt Burky is buried in Suresnes could imply that he was wounded and died of these wounds. Most burials in this cemetery are those who died whilst in a Paris hospital.
