Injured 21/10/40 returning from a raid on Berlin.
P/O Green (X2962) and crew became lost in the bad weather and very low on fuel.
They eventually crash landed in a field at Veryan near Truro in Cornwall. P/O Green and Sgt Hirst were unhurt, but P/O Bingham and Sgt Coutts received injuries;
