| Comments: Sgt Green was injured by 'friendly fire from the Royal Navy while returning from a raid to Hannover 27-28th September 1943. The extract from the Squadron history records..... Jock Morrison and his crew in JB295 were just finishing off their coffee when 'all hell broke loose'. Nearing home, a British convoy, just off the Wash had opened fire on the returning bomber, injuring W/OP Sgt Green. He was eventually invalided out of the RAF. |
